Homemade Kiwi Facial Scrub | Beauty DIY

By Heather Hahn @HeatherHahnn

Most of the time when we go to bed at night, sometimes we forget how important it is to take care of our skin. I know that if sometimes I am too tired, I literally will not leave the bed since I got home, which then results in just falling asleep in my make-up. No Bueno.

I’ll never forget that every single time I go back home, my mom always, always tells me how important it is to take care of my skin, well I am young.

There is nothing better to use on your skin though, other then all organic, natural, and homemade skincare.

One of my all time favorite night time repair scrubs has always been “homemade facial scrubs”.

These types of facial scrubs can repair, replenish, and renew your skin back to normal, if you do this routine consistently before you go to bed.

One of my favorite scrubs has always been the homemade kiwi scrub, and I figured that I would share with you guys on how to do this at home.

I’m not even kidding, when I tell you that this is my favorite, favorite scrub!

Ingredients:

+ sugar or salt of your choice

+ oil of your choice

+ fruit or vegetables of your choice { safflower oil }

+ muddler

+ an air tight container

Instructions:

1. Choose your container, and measure your exfoliant so that the container is 3/4 full.

2. Measure out your oil. You’ll want a 2-to-1 ratio. So, twice as much salt or sugar as oil.

3. Combine oil and salt or sugar in a bowl, and stir until just combined. For the Kiwi Scrub, you want to mix together sugar, safflower oil, and kiwi to get this exact scrub.

4.  Add in the Kiwi, scooping out the center core, and then chopped as finely as you can get them, and muddle the mixture together until their just combined. You don’t want to mix it too much or the granules will start to dissolve.

5. Decant into your storage container and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
