All you need for this recipe are potatoes and cheese powder for flavoring. If you don't have any cheese powder available, you can make use of salt.
First step would be peeling your potatoes. A little tip here, place your peeled potato in a basin of water to preserve its color and to stay fresh.
Chop the potatoes into stripes and place it in a basin of water to let the residue settle. As you can see, there are some stripes of potato with zigzag shape. We tried to have a little fun with it and try putting some shapes, but we realize its much better if it stays simple.
Deep fry the chopped potatoes for 4 minutes or until it becomes golden yellow.
Drain excess oil and pat dry with tissue paper. Then place your dried potatoes in the fridge for 1 hour.
After an hour, deep fry again your potatoes until it becomes golden brown. Drain excess oil and pat dry with tissue paper. Let it fully dry to achieve its crispiness.
When its completely dry, add some cheese powder for some flavoring and your DONE! Enjoy your homemade crispy french fries!
Homemade French Fries Ingredients:
- 1kg potatoes
- cheese powder
- cooking oil
- Peel potatoes and chop to stripes.
- Deep fry chopped potatoes until golden yellow.
- Drain excess oil and pat dry potatoes with tissue paper.
- Put potatoes in the fridge for 1 hour.
- Take out the potatoes from the fridge after 1hour and Deep fry until it becomes golden brown.
- Drain excess oil and pat dry potatoes with tissue paper. Make sure it is completely dry before mixing your cheese powder.
- Put some Cheese Powder for flavoring or salt if no cheese powder available. Your done!
