Packing For Rome
So my holiday is only 6 days away!!!! I am so excited to go to Rome, the city of love, romance and fabulous food. I have just gathered all my essentials together and I still think I need more. I think with only 6 days to go I am in panic buy mode, everything I see I want to buy for the holiday. For now I have narrowed it down to a few bits to show you what I'm taking.
Beauty Care For The Plane
Deciding what to take in your hand luggage is important, especial for Beauty Care. My flight is only 4hrs long so I don't have to worry as much, but I will still need a few items to help keep my skin and hair fresh. So in my bag I will have-
For the skin-
- Mini Simple face wipes- for keeping skin clean and for removing make up after a nap
- Origins Moisturiser- for hydrating the skin
- Origins Puffy eye roll on- help the eyes to look fresh
- Nivea Lip balm- keeping my lips soft and hydrated
- Dry Shampoo- for keeping my help soft and clean
- Tony and Guy Resurrection Dust- for volume and shape
- Soap and Glory hand cream- keeping the hands soft and clean
- Nivea Body Spray- to smell good
- Mouth Wash- for good breath.
Extra Beauty Care
When I go away on holiday I like to feel good and to know that I am looking after my skin as I do at home. Packing all the heavy beauty products can be a pain, as it leaves you no room for everything else, so down sizing is needed.
- Riemann Sun Lotion- This has sun protection up to 10hrs, it's waterproof and it dries quick.
- Kerastase Conditioning Spray- My hair doesn't do well in hot weather so this spray will give me soft hydrated hair throughout the holiday and keep it non-frizz
- Soap and Glory Glow Lotion and Body Spray Moisturiser- I am in love with these two products, they both smell amazing and do a good job. The Glow Lotion will give me a lovely shimmer while I am walking around in the sun. The Spray Moisturiser will keep my skin smelling and feeling soft. It just makes you feel good when you have great skin.
- Soap and glory minis- Shower Gel and Body Butter is needed, for clean and smooth skin, and the mini seizes are just right for this holiday.
Make up & Accessories
This was the hardest job for me because I have a lot of make up. I like to mix up my products for different occasions and outfits, so this took forever. To help me out with this task I had to think of what products I use the most and what look I like to create. On holiday I tend not to wear a lot of make up, but with this being a city holiday and a holiday that's in Italy, fashion becomes a big part of the look, so I wanted a few products added in.
Make up
- Benefit Celebrations palette- I have had this for a few years not and its still fab. It had two lipsticks, a rose tint, a high lighter, two eye shadows one for the brows, a bronze blush and a two way brush.
- Benefit Fix It Concealer- This works wonders for me and its easy to carry around.
- Rimmel Wake me up foundation- Its light and has SPF in it.
- Chanel Universal Bronzer- I added this mostly for an evening look
- No7 Highlight palette- This works lovely with the Chanel bronzer
- Bobbi Brown Long wear Eyeliner- This will stay on forever and with the heat that's what you want.
- Bourjois Lip Crayon- I have raved about this product and explained why in one of my other post. (If you don't know, read it)
- Chanel red gloss- This is amazing for an evening look and especially for Rome. This product makes every outfit look glamours.
- Marc Jacobs Perfume- I love all his products and the beautiful ladybird scent will be perfect for Rome, very elegant scent.
- Cat eye sunglasses- These are from Asos and I love cats and the style suits me which I never thought would.
- Eylure Lashes- These are lovely to finish off an outfit for the evening, I love to feel glam and beautiful when I go out and these top it off.
- Eyelash curlers- Think these are from boots, curled natural lashes create a cute day look and on holiday you don't want to be caked in make up and lashes everyday, nice to tone it down.
- Real Technique make up brushes- Love this brand, each brush does the job perfectly, and the good thing is you can use any brush for any product you want to use.
Hope you have enjoyed reading about all the bits and bobs I am taking with me to Rome. If your going on holiday remember think of what you need, don't weigh yourself down with tones of products, wait until you are over there to buy more, to bring back to your collection.
Have a lovely day
