Hello metal fans! Today I’m going to present to Hidden Meanings, a new band from Uruguay which has released a great debut EP entitled “Two Sides Of War”.
Hidden Meanings was born in the early 2013 and it’s a personal project from Dan McCoy who is the guitarist, vocalist and composer of the band. Hidden Meanings is a metal band with influences from bands like Evergrey, Shadow Gallery or Porcupine Tree and these guys are now presenting their fantastic first EP released in September.
After some concerts in the local metal scene, they decided to start recording their first songs which have led to a fantastic debut EP. “Two Sides Of War” contains six tracks highly recommended in which we can find great progressive elements with amazing melodies.
The EP has been conceived as a conceptual artwork and is the prelude to a promising debut album in which they are now working.
Starting with a nice instrumental intro we can follow enjoying in this EP songs like the great “Scars From The Past” with an impressive begining that I love or “Ashes From Your Heart” with nice melodic keybords. We can also enjoy the instrumental and atmospheric track “Feeling The Wind” whith fantastic acustic guitars or “Silent Reflection” with its surround sound and a nice Dan’s guitar solo. Ok guys, I think Hidden Meanings is a great band which has a fantastic sound, I recommed you don’t miss Two Sides Of War EP and I personally hope to soon enjoy the new Hidden Meanings album, really I sure that it will be a very good release.
