On 17th October, Rubi have had an official launch party to spread the word on how this world renown little cat girl have finally arrived at Rubi SG.
Relocated at one of the busiest part of Orchard’s underpass, this location have given Rubi Sg the new opportunity to be exposed to the public.
As hundreds of onlookers stroll past, the speakers blasted with the promotions of the day. Attracting shoppers into Rubi Shoes.
The reason why I simply love Rubi Shoes are because they provide variety at an economical rate. I mean 2 for $30 it’s a steal. Sometimes Rubi also do Extreme sales where prices can go as low as $5 for a pair!
Aside from wedges and flats, Rubi also do retail sneakers, slippers, heels, decorative socks and sunglasses.
On that particular Friday evening, Rubi@Ion was spruced up with Hello Kitty decorations and even a popcorn machine. Popcorn anyone?
In addition to the decorations, this vibrant Hello Kitty collection have been displayed for purchase.
Alongside to the Hello Kitty obsession, Rubi have also launch a brand new makeup line from Australia.
Placed next to the Hello Kitty cupcake tower was the Rubi’s makeup line. It includes a huge bronzer, over 6 shades of lippies, 3 eye shadow palettes and even nail polishes of different shades.

Aside from having the place spiced up with Hello Kitty products and a popcorn machine the middle of the shop, there was even a nail bar!

Another section at the event would be the photo booth. At the photo booth, props like the above are provided. Thereafter 4 shots your pictures would be automatically collaged and immediately printed. (My pictures taken at the photo booth were too outrageous to see the light of the day)

With the event pictures aside, it’s time for me to introduced Rubi’s new Hello Kitty Line ~
First off would be the sailor set. With prices at an affordable range of SGD$6.95 to $19.95. It’s hard to not get some home.
Overall, what I liked about the sailor set was that the items are not overly cluttered with Hello Kitties and more Hello Kitties. In fact there is only 1 medium size Hello Kitty plastered on striking blue stripes which is not as overwhelming as I expected it to be.
As a matter of fact, The Hello Kitty Sailor tote bag have been my favorite of them all for I am able to incorporate it’s design into my life with ease.
Aside from just having the Hello Kitty Sailor Slippers, there are plenty of other design slippers as well. Such as the Pink Party Kitty and the Red Floral Kitty. (I forgot what the red slippers name)
Presenting Pink Party Kitty shoes with little prints of the Party Kitty. Not too striking from afar and just enough details when up-closed.
