Not too long ago I found out about an amazing online hijab store called Haute Hijab. Before I proceed, I want you all to know that even if you don’t wear a head scarf Haute Hijab scarves are so versatile they can be worn around your neck as well!! Back to what I was saying, I just ordered their New York Minute scarf a few weeks ago and it finally arrived! I was so excited when I looked in the mail box and found my cute little package!
The scarf is this gorgeous dot style with the colors gray, navy blue and red…Ill admit, I was definitely drawn in by the name! New york is my favorite city and I kinda purchase anything related to it. Nevertheless, I was happily surprised with the scarf. Here are some of the logistics. Its about 36×36″. Its bold and fashion forward if i say so myself.
Iv mentioned it before that I don’t usually wear square scarves and I wasn’t sure what to expect when I got the scarf, but i was pleased. The size is not too small but is not as large as a wrap. I wanted to try something new again, so I figured hey why not! The scarves are priced fairly at just $20, which is so much less expensive than some boutiques iv purchased from.
The scarf is made of a polyester chiffon material, and is thin which is perfect for the summer!
I came up with 2 ways to style the scarf
The way pictured above, in my opinion is a bit more dressy, its cute and the scarf works perfectly with this style. Another way I wore it was like this:
As you can see this style draps in front, which I think is perfect when you have a low cut shirt on, it covers everything!
Lastly, this style is just a small spinoff of the previous one
What I did here was pull up a part of the draping and pin it to the side of my head, it gave a cute layered look if i say so myself (:
