By Blessmybag @blessmybag

When I arrived at the Happy Skin Cosmetics summer launch yesterday high above the city at 71 Gramercy I could hardly believe that practically everything I saw there excited me to pieces.

Happy Skin makes this your happiest and hottest summer! The Happy Skin limited edition Turn Up The Heat Summer 2014 Collection features three (3) new sizzling shades of their bestselling lippie and two (2) new summer hues of blushes that deliver the same promise of a natural flush as their original blushes.

It’s pretty much like Happy Skin has expanded to become for us what Bourjois is for the UK beauty lovers, a solid, mid-range beauty range with products that delight as well as deliver.  The news is that with the moisturizing lippies alone in terms of volume sales they are selling at a rate of 100 lippies a day!  Happy Skin has launched their 2014 limited edition summer makeup collection which includes 3 lippie shades (that you can buy individually or as a better value box set) and 2 blush shades.  Read more to see the rest of the post, Happy Skin’s local answer to Bioderma, and more new stuff now available in stores by the brand!

BASE: Happy Skin SS Creme set with Tarte Airbrush Powder Foundation, lips – The Morning After summer lippie, cheeks – The Morning After summer blush

I’ve decided just to show you my favorite shade applied, The Morning After, in both the blush and coordinated lippie.  Call me safe but I love it, a nude pink with an orchid undertone  It’s more mauve than the permanent nude shade in their lippie line, “Crushing On You” and on someone with deeper skin than me it would be a spot on wearable nude shade.

Wipe away the remnants of bad vibes, heavy makeup, and a long day, and let your skin breathe. Happy Skin Make A Clean Sweep Revitalizing Micellar Makeup Cleanser (Php599) makeup remover is a gentle yet potent water-based makeup cleanser. Micellar water, boasting the highest makeup removing powers, leaves skin fresh and clean without having to rinse!

Happy Skin came out with their own MICELLAR WATER/makeup remover called ” Make a Clean Sweep”, hellooo?!!  I’ve tried it, it’s unscented (HALLELUJAH) and I’m telling you, no big need to hoard Bioderma anymore.  This is Php599 for 100ml, but a little on a cotton pad goes quite a long way.  Plus, the new Eye Love View brow item straight up is our very own version of Soap & Glory’s brow archery duo (pen & pencil).  This brow duo product costs Php799

Overall, it was just way too much wonderful jam-packed into one happy launch and I quite proud that finally a Filipino brand is stepping it up and giving beauty lovers in this country what we want and actually need at mid-range prices.  You can now find Happy Skin counters at Plains & Prints branches, Beauty Bar, and select outlets of Rustan’s Essenses.
