Hand and Heart Shape

By Sarahcraftylocks

There are so many beautiful papers and I do love buying them. This craft is a lovely way to use some of those papers and a special craft for children to do.

It is also handy as a mothers day gift or card, and easy for Dad’s to organize with their children! We used ours to make cards but these are very nice mounted on a block or in a frame to hang on the wall.

The children can be involved throughout this craft. They can choose the paper they want to use for their hand shape. They could also choose the background color and the heart color. If you are making something to mount on the wall the children could paint the canvas block or whatever background you are using.

If they are old enough to write they can write their own name on the heart shape. But have a few shapes ready and have them write on the heart before the shape is glued onto the hand shape, just in case they want a few attempts to get it right.
