Google+: 25 Million Users!

Posted on the 05 August 2011 by Jesusmsanchezl @JesusmSanchezl

Google+Google+ has become the fastest social network to reach 25 million users.  This success is obviously related to the whole set of services from Google and of course to their star product: The search engine. Despite some studies that points that users are not spending much time in Google+, ComScore reports the contrary.

ComScore reports that on July 24th, Google+ reached 25 million visitors. This means that there have been 25 million unique visitors to the Google+ website, not counting mobile users. ComScore has also reported that Google+ is growing the number of unique visitors on a daily basis – by a rate of one million a day. In my opinion, besides the amazing services that Google offers, the fact that you have a choice to select your social network was another huge cause of G+’s big boom.

Is it really Google+’s rate of growth really fast?

Well the next chart compares the rate of growth between Facebook, Twitter, My Space and Google+ to reach 25 million users.

Google+ 25 Million Users
Google+ 25 Million Users
Google+ 25 Million Users

The charts shows the time that took to the social networks to reach 25 million users:

  • Facebook about three years to attract 25 million visitors
  • Twitter took more or less 30 months
  • MySpace grew to 25 million unique visitors in less than two years, but now it has lost many user in the past 2 years.

The fact that Google+ has reached 25 million user that fast doesn’t mean that it will be the default social network for everybody. But still gives a new and promising future on social networks.

And you? what do you think about Google+?
