Going Indo-Western for the Upcoming Festivities

By Anupamapnb @divallista

Hey everyone!

Normally I don't like dressing up much, but when festivals are round the corner, I decide on my clothes, accessories, shoes, etc a week before! Normally I like wearing anarkalis teamed up with gold jewelries, but this time it's something different - I decide to don a Indo-Western look because that adds a touch of Indian-ness with comfort. Here's what I picked up from Myntra to complete my look ~

I picked a gorgeous fuchsia anarkali kurta, that has long sleeves with embroidered details, zip closure on the chest, deep neck and black sequined taping along the hem. I skipped churidar and went chic with pairing the kurta with ankle length black skinny jeans. I am not really comfortable in wearing churidaars and all, furthermore the jeans pops up the overall look. I completed the overall look donning a black printed shrug that has an open front tie up, embroidered body and mirror detailing on the front hems.

I accessorized this look with pink and gold toned jhumkas, gold toned collar necklace to cover up the deep neck line, golden potli bag to store some cash and few important items and complete it with embroidered floral details black heels. The embroidered detailing of the shoes complements the sleeves of the anarkali kurta completely and the pink jhumkas adds an ethnic touch to it!Products used for this look -

Being a Beauty Blogger, no look is complete without MAKEUP! I was a bit skeptical on what colors should I choose without looking OTT, So I thought of donning - bronze eyes heavily lined with gel liner. Bronze are so apt for Ethnic/Festivities look as they add an Indian touch. Further, I decided on keeping my lower lashline/waterline bare to enhance my eyes. I completed my eyes with 2 coats of my favorite L'Oreal Paris mascara. I painted my lips with a gorgeous sheer coral pink shade from Lakme Absolute Gloss range and flushed some coral color on my cheeks, For my nails, I used a nude peach shade from the newly launched Lotus Herbals Ecostay range! Products used for this look -
