We currently have a vacancy for an experienced GIS Technologists in our Technology Department. Reporting to the Manger of Geospatial Solutions, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Converting and analyzing geographic data using software such as FME and ArcGIS Model Builder.
- Creating, maintaining, and updating SQL databases.
- Creating, maintaining, and updating a web-based mapping system.
- Creating and updating maps using industry standard software such as ArcGIS and AutoCAD.
Qualifications:
- Education in the use and dissemination of geographic information from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- A suitable combination of education and experience will also be considered.
- Ability to problem solve with minimal supervision.
- A working knowledge of ArcGIS.
- Knowledge and experience in SQL, AutoCAD, Mapguide, Python and FME is a definite asset.
- Programming experience with various languages is also an asset.
