Friday Night Dinners were the perfect way to throw a little extra drama into the Gilmore Girls episodes every week. It was no secret that Lorelai and her parents saw things differently and that usually came to a head in one way or another in the weekly Gilmore dinners. From forgotten guests to the belles of the ball to everything in between, it wasn’t a family dinner without someone walking out saying, “You’ve just been Gilmored.” Check out our favorites and share yours with us by commenting below or tweeting us @FrontRowChat
Hannah- Richard tells Emily that his mother is coming to visit. God is a Gilmore Girl. (S1E18) –
Anytime Emily starts to freak out over something makes me giggle and I think this was the first time we really got to see it happening. The promise of meeting Lorelai the First was a fun new introduction and it meaning that Emily freaked out? That made it even better.
Lisa- The First Friday Night Dinner (S1E1)
Sairah- The upcoming Friday night dinner with Kirk…(Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life)
This counts right? I can already tell you this is going to be my favorite Friday night dinner ever. How can it not? Kirk’s involved. I’m so excited for this!!!
Cassie- Lorelai crawls out the window to get away from a date (S1E16)
It’s pretty bad when even your father is so bored by your date that he’s willing to look the other way while you make a dramatic escape. I think this was one of the first moments I saw Richard really softening to Lorelai, and I remember loving their dynamic even back then.
Aubrey- Friday Night Dinner at the hospital (S7E14) – I love this non-traditional family dinner because it shows a great family supporting moment between them all. It was just a great moment for the GIlmore’s.
Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life premieres on Netflix on Nov 25.
