Welcome to my vintage fashion cafe! Here’re some retro groovy swing tunes to get you into the mood of the glamour from yesterday.
I was all geared up for a bit of splurge this weekend as the Frock Up Brisbane vintage fair was in town. I’ve previously confessed my guilty pleasure hunting for vintage Chanel while I was on honeymoon in Paris. There’re a bit that I haven’t confessed to my mom though, that the clip on her vintage Dior pearl necklace didn’t fall apart by itself, but was actually snapped by her 10-year-old daughter who was secretly raiding through her jewelry box – oops! I forgot since when I’ve started to dig into my mom’s jewelry box and my grandma’s wardrobe in search for the glamour from the old days.
My Sunday was picture perfect – cute vintage goodies, 30ºC on an autumn day, great time catching up with girlfriends, complemented with caramel slice and raspberry friands homemade by the lovely ladies at the vintage cafe.
Of course I wouldn’t leave the market empty-handed
Here are some of the vintage lovelies I took home:Live in Brisbane and keen to get into the vintage scene? The Love Vintage Show is another highlight on every Brisbane vintage lovers’ calendar. The show also goes to Sydney and Melbourne.
