Fringe Benefits

By Bbeautylove @bbeautylove

Hi everyone,

Today’s post is quite a short, chatty one all about how my life has changed since taking the plunge and getting a fringe. Life changing might sound dramatic, but I have had the same hairstyle for quite a number of years and although I felt safe, I longed for a change.

I experimented with very long hair, very short hair, a blunt cut, layers, very curly and poker straight hair. My hair is naturally blonde (although I now have it highlighted) and it is naturally curly.

All worked for me at different times in my life, none were my perfect hair. My perfect hair would be Sienna Miller’s. Glossy, blonde, thick and slightly messy. I could never achieve that look, so now I have a fringe I feel I can definitely call my hair a hair style

So, what are the benefits to having a fringe?

1. It is great for hiding any forehead flaws eg. spots, redness, wrinkles, slap head

2. Even when you cannot be bothered to do your hair, you still look half decent because at least there is some interest in your locks

3. It means you can forgo eyeshadow, meaning doing make up in the morning is a cinch!

4. They can totally complement your face. Chubby baby face? Go for a blunt cut. Angular face? Go for softer, choppy bangs

5. If you see someone you want to avoid, you can pretend you haven’t seen them by hiding your eyes under your fringe

6. You can wear headbands and they don’t look weird

7. It is versatile; go full on, part in the middle or sweep it to the side. The possibilities are endless

8. You can justifiably wear a sweatband to the gym around your head to ‘protect your fringe from sweat’

9. Any hat will look good on you

10. It also makes you look on trend as there is always some type on fringe doing the rounds on the catwalk

So those are just a few benefits us fringe bearers experience. If you are unsure, just do it. As my school friend always said ‘Hair grows…’ so you can always change it again.

I hope you enjoyed this enlightening (read: silly) post and please share any comments below.
