For the last few months, I have been thinking about getting back to work and how the whole dynamics of being at work with a child at home is going to work out. I have often weighed the pros and cons and tried to understand what will be the best work scenario for me.
That's when I read of Anna Wintour's latest interview where she says that being a working mother is tough. It is tough to balance working, traveling and taking care of a child. In the interview she also went on to the say that even though it is difficult, it is imperative for children to understand the importance of working.
I could not have put it in better words since work was always cathartic for me. Part reason, why I started this blog. The other reason that I would like to get back to work is because I have a daughter who needs to know that it is alright to work outside the home and that a balancing act is possible.
I don't expect anyone else to set that example for her. It is difficult but it is not impossible. We all are capable of pulling off incredible feats without the realization of our strengths.
Being a SAHM is no less than one such feat and I do believe women - all women do something incredible each and every day in today's world.
As for today's outfit, I am wearing something that is a simple summery outfit. I have paired a lace back tee with floral pants from J.Crew (bought last year) and accessorized with metallic huarache flats and a shoulder bag. The jewelry in this outfit is a fringe necklace and beaded bracelets.
