FIRST LOOK: Too Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly Collection

By Slowdownandsavor

I'm super excited because today I got the brand new, unreleased Peanut Butter and Jelly palette from Too Faced!!! I always love it when my adoration for food and beauty products somehow intermingle. So here we have a timeless lunchbox sandwich classic mixed with a gorgeous eyeshadow palette. Rejoice!

I'm the kind of girl that if I hear that an eyeshadow palette is going to smell like peanut butter and jelly, you better believe I'm going to get it. There's just something so attractive and fun to me about makeup that's playful and scented.

Enter Too Faced shadows. Now, we all know and love the Too Faced chocolate bar palettes, and most especially love how they actually smell like chocolate, and if you're like me, you're literally drooling over the anticipated summer launch of their peach scented and themed collection.

Check out my YouTube video, where I do live swatches, and talk about the product, as well as 2 other new products, including an It! Cosmetics mascara and a ColourPop Gel Liner.

But between the new Chocolate Bon Bon collection and the aforementioned peach one, there's something just as exciting: The Peanut Butter & Jelly collection.

You heard me right. And it smells just like peanut butter. I don't quite get the jelly from it, but man oh man, it's amazing. It's not too strong, and perfectly sweet. Plus, not to worry - it's not made with any real peanuts. Hurrah!

This palette contains a nice variety of mattes, shimmers and glitters and according to the insert, was "i nspired by the social media sensation that is Peanut Butter from Too Faced's bestselling Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar Collection, they created this peanut butter palette of nine gorgeous matte and shimmer shades featuring antioxidant-rich cocoa powder with a creamy peanut butter twist! Right off the bat, I was impressed. I knew I'd be impressed, so does that still count as being impressed? Because I knew it was going to be good... But it was really good. It was love at first swatch.

The packaging is metal and sturdy, and has a magnetic closure. like the other Too Faced palettes. The art work on the outside is purely adorable, and I love it so much. It's too cute! The inside has a small mirror, and displays the 9 gorgeous peanut butter and jelly inspired shades.

The three highlight shades are 2.0 g, and the other 6 are 0.9 g, and the palette costs $36. No, it's not out quite yet, but on February 28th, you'll be able to place an order at Ulta.com, and it'll be available in stores March 13.

Let's get to swatching!

I also had a lot of fun playing with the palette, and found the shadows to be super blendable, and ultra easy to work with.

I used Extra Creamy from my lashes to brow to set my concealer. I took Peanut Butter and used a fluffy blending brush to apply it to the crease. I used Peanut Butter Cup to cover my whole lid. I smudged a combo of Peanut Butter & Peanut Butter Cup on the bottom lash line, and used a ColourPop creme gel liner in the shade Piggy Bank, and set it using the shade Jelly from the PB&J row. I used the new It! Cosmetics Superhero mascara, which by the way, is a game-chager for my lashes.
