February – What I’m Looking Forward To…

By Clo Hutch @lashesoflife

Feb

January didn’t exactly fly by, but it did go pretty quickly – Maybe it’s because I started my new job which is always exciting and scary all at once. I’m sure many of you will have been out celebrating pay day this weekend, the last weekend in January and are extremely pleased the bluest month is over. On to February we go, and I have so much to look forward to. Here’s some highlights of what I’m looking forward, and perhaps some inspiration for things you could try too:

Gin Social at Graphic Bar Soho – I admit it. I’m a big lover of gin! Alex doesn’t understand what I like about it, but I’ve been converted to a complete fan. Tomorrow, Graphic Bar are hosting their first Gin Social of the term so I decided had to try it out. Led by Sipsmith, leaders of the small batch boom in artesian gin making, a guest host will be talking about the history of the brand and offer an insight into the workings of their incredible distillery. I’ll fill you all in after!

Valentine’s Day – So we don’t really actually celebrate that much, but who doesn’t need another excuse for a fun night in. Wii night, homemade dinner, who knows what it will hold this year but it’s always a lovely evening.

Bourne & Hollingsworth Kitchen – I’m getting a sneak peek into the brand new cookery school in Clerkenwell which will officially open on March 1st, so I can give you all the inside details. They’re claiming it’s going to be one of the most sought after cooking experiences in London – so exciting!

Birthday Planning – Yayyyy! It’s my birthday in March and this year I’m actually getting really  excited. It’s over the Easter bank holiday meaning I get a long weekend…wahoooo. I just need to get planning – do you think 25 is a big birthday? Half way to thirty – oh wait, that’s a scary thought.

All the meat – Lucy and I already have plans to go for a meal with loads of BBQ food. Living in a house with a veggie and a vegan, sometimes I think she needs the escape of going for a meaty feast with the girls, I know I would.

Swimming – More swimming. I went yesterday and Alex says I’m already improving in being more comfortable in the water, go me! But I’ve still got so far to go. Updates will follow.

Going home – I’m visiting the fam next weekend and I’m really excited. I may have been in London for almost 3 years but I did still occasionally get home sick – I think it’s normal, if you can call me that :P

What are you looking forward to this month?

Chloe xx
