This week, the spotlight is on LA-based artist Lost Boy Crow. He describes himself as “a pop-minded vocalist’s love affair with the world of modern R&B,” which is totally in. You may not have heard of him (yet), but Lost Bow Crow as gone viral with 14 tracks amassing over two million plays on SoundCloud in a year. Most recently, he dropped the sleek and smooth single “Where It All Goes,” and we are listening closely.
“Where It All Goes” is across the board; however, it opens with a keyboard of the 80s persuasion. Then, Lost Boy Crow comes through with the pop vocals. And, of course, there are the harmonies and some auto tune. All this lends to a modern one-man band sound. (Trust me, you’ll know it when you hear it.) Finally, lyrics like “I don’t know where it all goes,” where the title comes from, are nostalgic for memories of someone. When the days are long and the nights are short, these feelings are all too real.
