From Dallas, TX comes indie-pop rockers, CIITY. They formed in 2015 and have been making their way across North Texas with songs like “Late Night Confession” and their latest single, “DNVR.” With an electronic/alternative sound, the track is the highlight of CIITY’s EP Parallels. It’s a song of regret, the kind of “one that got away,” gut-wrenching song that you can’t help but keep on repeat. Add in the infectious beat, and this could very well be the song of your summer.
Comparing themselves to The 1975 and Coldplay, CIITY has big shoes to fill. But their confidence and capabilities are not lost on us. “DNVR” is definitely a song to tune into, and CIITY is not to be tuned out. Here’s to hoping Texas isn’t the only place this band will be taking by storm in the near future.
