Hello lovelies,
my “favourites” type of posts will feature beauty product that I especially gravitated to the past month. I haven’t done favourites for a while, primarily because for the past six months I’ve been focusing on using up the make-up I chose for my 14 for 2014 project. After six months, I’ve used up more than half of the products, so I finally feel comfortable to dig into my huge collection. Let’s say I’m pretty happy I don’t have to wear the same look every day anymore.
First up is Kérastase Elixir Ultime Hair Mask. I’ve been using Kérastase products for a while and I have yet to make up my mind about some of them, but Elixir Ultime Hair Mask is quickly becoming an item I can’t live without. It softens my hair and makes it manageable. I can definitely tell the difference when I use it.
While I absolutely adore the following item, the persons forced to be in my proximity in this hot weather would probably disagree. It is Mukhallat eau de parfum by Montale – a super (sickeningly – for some) sweet fragrance. Depending on my body chemistry it sometimes leans more on the floral side. While the scent is much sweeter, its sillage is weaker than that of Intense Tiare.
I still can’t decide which oil I prefer – Nuxe or Caudalie, but this month I went with Caudalie Divine Oil. This oil with its light scent is perfect for hair & body.
Surprisingly, I’m not into bold lips so Elizabeth Arden gloss in Sunset is my go to lip product. It gives a slight hint of coral and a lot of shine without being drying.
Guerlain Perles des Mers quad has the perfect shades of eyeshadow for summer – sandy neutrals with a pop of turquoise.
While I’ve been using a variety of nail polishes for manicures, I’ve been using only New Cid nail polish in Strawberry Gateau for pedicures. To be honest, I’d be using it for manicures if it weren’t for my huge nail polish collection.
The final item is my savior when I’m too tired and/or too lazy to do a complete eye make-up. Elizabeth Arden cream eyeshadow in Sanddollar (from their Summer 2014 collection) is the perfect pinky beige to give a refreshed look.
I’ve been going light with my complexion as well. YSL’s Poudre de Soleil is still the best bronzer I’ve ever used – perfect finish and perfect color for my complexion for a radiant, just got back from vacation look.
I stopped using the foundation – Oriflame BB Cream works great instead. Since it is a tad too light for me at the moment, I’m mixing it with Lancome’s Teint Miracle. This is my combination for beautiful, even complexion.
The last item is Guerlain Cherry Blossom blush. It is a beautiful, sheer peachy coral for a hint of flush on my cheeks.
What are your favorite summer products?
xoxo Tamara
