Farewell Icky Hair Chalk // Hello Hydrating Hair Color Mask

Ever since the dip dyed colored hair trend blew up, I wanted to get in on the fun. Unfortunately, being a brunette, it really wasn’t in the cards for me. My only option was to bleach my precious tresses, which is one mistake I will never make again. I haven’t had dye touch my hair in a long time, and there is no way I am going to put nasty chemicals and ruin my hair for a trend. They come and go, healthy hair doesn’t.

Hair chalk, IMO, sucks. One hand through your hair when rocking hair chalk, and the will color will go straight from your hair and onto your hands. Maybe if you are wearing a braid or a bun it’ll work, but that’s much less fun than wearing your hair down, especially when you have colored tips. That’s kind of the whole point, right?

Moral of the story: I finally found a way to get colored tips.

Urban Outfitters Water Color Hydrating Hair Mask is the absolute best! It’s easy to use (see the video below for tips & tricks on how to get the best results), it’s doubles as a super hydrating hair mask, it smells delicious, and it gave me pretty good color for being a brunette. Not to mention it washes out in 5 shampoos, which is great because I get over things quick.

Once I can get over my extreme indecisiveness and pick a color, I will definitely be using it again.

+ sorry for the iPhone pic, but I had to show how great it turned out on my roomies blond locks. Coachella 2013 hair? I think so! +

This is a great article! You are right, some chalk is NOT meant for hair. Users must be sure it is natural and will not dehydrate hair! If you ever want to chalk it up again, try our chalks or pods that you can gently pull strands through for an amazing color jump start! This mask looks fun too! Maybe we'll add some of these to our line up! :) Staci @ http://HairChalkTalk.com
