I decided to check the shelves of one of the first local brands I started using, Fanny Serrano cosmetics. I was surprised that the little compacts of round eyeshadow weren’t available, but I short of gasped when I saw the update the brand had done from last year which I wasn’t aware of. I may be very late on this but I just can’t not share. Some of us may not have noticed that FS now has an easily customized single eyeshadow to palette system. Let me tell ya’, man oh man it’s pretty chic.
The price of the Fanny Serrano Quad Palette is down to Php600 from Php1500 currently at Landmark or wherever Fanny Serrano Cosmetics are available, 4 eyeshadows of YOUR CHOICE included. Single eyeshadows are also on sale at Php150, formerly Php195. The length of the current sale is indefinite according to the saleslady, she acknowledged that they rarely ever go on sale.
SHADES I CHOSE to put in my palette: (in quad) Top – Coffee Arabica (warm matte deep brown), Beach Sand (satin vanilla), Bottom – Total Eclipse (matte black), Cinnamon Mousse (matte warm taupe, kind of like MAC Omega). Separate Single Eyeshadow: Champagne Diamonds (shimmery metallic taupe)
These impressed me so much I bought a quad for mom as well. It looked like they had about 20-30 eyeshadow shades to choose from, a range of matte, satin, and shimmer textures. It’s like you combined the classic look of Bobbi Brown packaging with the swanky pop-out-pop-in style of Urban Decay’s single eyeshadow system. In comparison to Inglot palettes this is very lightweight, thing is I think they only have quad palettes. And the Fanny Serrano eyeshadow quality…Lord, be praised. Need I say more, these are what I used in my Smoldering Night Out look yesterday. Read “more” to see swatches and additional photos different from the ones I posted of the look I did yesterday.
Here is the back of the palette (remember at the back the order would be right to left, in reverse). The awesome thing is if someone asks “What shades do you have in your palette?” unlike the Urban Decay palettes you can just show them the back of your quad and the labeled bottoms of the single eyeshadows you chose to put in are right there. I also did some swatches of the shades from the quad and the single eyeshadow.
THE LOOK – After lids were primed with Max Factor Masterpiece cream eyeshadow in Coffee I applied the following FS eyeshadow shades: “Champagne Diamonds” all over the lid, “Total Eclipse” in the crease/outer V, “Beach Sand” added in the center of the lid to highlight, on the browbone, and lightly on the inner corners of the eyes.
What impresses me most about Fanny Serrano’s eyeshadow range is the blending quality and pigment payoff of the shades. This system is just such great value for money especially now that they’re marked down. You can bet I’m going back for more eyeshadow colors especially while the sale is on!
