Fall Boat Maintenance

By Sailingguide

Fall is the best time for boat maintenance chores, before covering up for the winter. If you put things off until spring, as I've done before, once it's warm you're likely to want to go sailing instead, and then things never get done - or get done hurriedly and sloppily. To save time and do things right, consult a reference like Don Casey's classic Complete Illustrated Sailboat Maintenance Manual. Even when you think you know how best to do the job, you'll likely be surprised by an insider's tip for faster or more-lasting results.
