Faces Canada Sparkle Dust Stackable Wish : Review, Swatch

By Anupamapnb @divallista

Hey everyone!

Recently Faces Canada was on 50 % discount at medplusbeauty.com and almost everything was sold out except the Sparkle Dust Stacks. I haven't tried eye-pigments before and hence bought 2 stacks - Earth and Wish. Today I'm reviewing Wish that has some vibrant and bold shades.

Price : Rs 549 for 5 stacks (7g)

What Faces Canada says about the product -

These highly concentrated, shimmery loose color pigments come in an interesting row of small jars stacked over one another. Use the colors individually to dress up your eyes or mix them up to create shimmery, sultry looks. Mix with an eye primer to achieve a dramatic look that will make heads turn. The versatility of the product allows it to be used alone as a highlighter or mixed with your favorite nail polish to create many new shades.

My experience with the product

Faces Canada Sparkle Dust Stack Wish comes in 5 transparent square glass pots that are towered one upon the other with screw on top opening and the top of the stack has a small screw lid to it. The packaging is convenient and the pigments would not spill, if used carefully. I would rather expect Faces Canada to include a small stopper like L'Oreal Paris Infallible Monos Eye-shadow (read review here) have to hold the pigment together.  Wish has 5 bright and vibrant shades from different color families. The texture of these pigments are very smooth and the pigments are finely milled with subtle silver or golden shimmers that gives a gorgeous metallic finish to the eyes. Mostly all the shades are shimmery and can be used both wet and dry. The shades can be worn alone, or in combination with each other, and they add a lot of drama to the eye make-up. When wore without primer - the color lasts for 4 hours but with primer on - the shade lasts for good 7-8 hours without fading. Being loose pigment, they are tend to have fall-outs but these are finely milled with minimum fallouts, which is very common with any loose pigment.A trick to use such pigments - To prevent the shimmer getting all over your face, turn the stack upside down till some of the powder collects on the lid. Then, swirl you brush on the lid a few times till the pigment sticks to the brush well. Now, pat the brush on the eyelids.  This will minimize fallout.

Shades of Wish

1. Dark Bluish Black - The shade looks almost black but when swatched - it is deep indigo blue based black with silver shimmers. Will suit light to medium complexions.

2. Burgundy - One of my favorite shade - a gorgeous red toned copper like shade that would complement Indian complexion well. Contains subtle golden shimmers and best when paired with etchic dresses during festivities. Will suit light to medium complexions.

Overall, a great product for eye makeup lovers! I would definitely recommend this as most of the other stacks are very shimmery. These comes cheaper than the MAC pigments but the quantity is just 2 teaspoon, which is okay for the price.
