These are the tendencies for 2016 sunglasses and glasses: a combination of metal and acetate, colors and double bridge.
Metallic frames and material combinations
Completely metallic frames are trendy this season for men, in soft colors like gray or silver, as you can see in Clifton Oliver Peoples model:

Besides, this metal and acetate combination is the main source of inspiration in practically all the new collections. For instance, the feminine Jaron Paul Smith frame is made of acetate with a sexy cat-eye shape and, of course, the bridge and the temples are metallic.
Double bridge
Double bridges were starting to appear by the end of 2015 but now it is quite common to find plenty of glasses and sunglasses with double bridges. Two models that are trendy are the followings:

The amazing Dior Abstract, model YHO in this case, combines purple and black shades in the frame and the mirror lenses are reddish yellow.
Round and new shapes for frames
The classic round frames becomes the most chick accessory once more due to the colors and the final touches of the frames. Lummis Oliver Peoples model is one perfect example of that: acetate round frame with brown tortoiseshell print but the temples are metallic.
Another example are the innovative Bob Sdrunk Square glasses. They are not entirely round although it could seems but the frame has a geometrical shape.
Two-colored frames
This season two-colored frames are trendy. For example, Rayban 2447 1158R5 are based on two classic concepts: round shape and havana print. However, it adds metallic touches in the temples and bridge plus grayish blue shades in the frame as well as in the lens color.
Another option is gradient colors like Serle Paul Smith model which combines dark red in the upper part of the temple and it progressively changes into tortoiseshell print towards the button part of the frame.
New color range
According to Pantone as well, these colors represent what people are looking nowadays: stability, determination, relaxation and comfort.
There are many designers that has already include these shades into their new spring/summer fashion collection. However until these seasons, the main dominant shades are the ones from red color such as the Marsala which was chosen for the 2015.
