Essence 2014 Collections ~ Beauty Beats & Be Loud & More – Photos & Details

By Kasthuri

Hello!

Essence will be rolling out a couple of new collections in Watsons stores as well as a range of face and body-care products in department stores in early 2014. Here’s a look at some of the new launches.

Essence was the official cosmetics partner and sponsor of Justin Bieber’s 2013 tour and also ran sweepstakes in the US for his fans to win backstage passes and concert tickets and naturally, a collection inspired by his music and lyrics (yes, one of the eyeshadows is called “Baby, Baby, Ooh”), will be in the works. I’ve heard that this collection has been spotted in some Watsons stores here already. If it’s any consolation, the highlight-shimmer powder (extreme right) has an amazingly fine texture. Prices range from S$3.50 to S$7.50.

The Essence Be Loud Collection is inspired by the young, independent go-getter generation and showcases camouflage prints in bright pops of colours. The stars of this collection would be the 2 blushes which feature a mélange of 3 shades in each blush (S$7.50 each).

Prices of the Be Loud collection range from S$3.90 to S$7.50 and the collection is slated for a Feb 2014 release.

Essence has also expanded the number of counters in Watsons stores – the cosmetics counters are currently exclusive to Watsons and in town, one of the most well-stocked counter is in the Lucky Plaza Watsons outlet (surprisingly, the Takashimaya Watsons carries a much smaller selection despite that being the flagship Watsons store in Singapore).

While at the preview, I also had a chance to check out the new face and body care products Essence will be bringing in in 2014 – these are slated for sale in some department stores like BHG (if I remember correctly). Given that Essence is a brand catered to pre-teen and teen girls, there is an anti-acne face-care range, makeup remover wipes as well and hand and body creams and fragrances at very affordable prices. If you’re always at a loss what to buy for your kid cousin, these are options you can consider. In addition, there is also a range of pedicure and foot care tools which again are priced very affordably (and these I would use!).
