Before we even get into how highly pigmented & beautiful this liquid lipstick is let's just take a second to admire the packaging. How sleek & chic the packaging!? Ellis Faas 'hot lips' thin silver chrome bullet like shape is HUmazingly beautiful! Remove the pointed lid to find a sponge applicator, that distributes insanely pigmented product when the bottom of the pen is twisted clockwise.
The liquid lipstick itself is especially formulated to coat the lips with deeply saturated colour, without leaving them feeling heavy or dry. Typically more pigmented shades tend to dry out the lips, especially with liquid lipsticks, but I can honestly say that this doesn't dry out my lips at all. Maybe that is because Hot Lips is enriched with Castor Seed Oil, vitamin E and a hint of Vanilla which is said to nourish the lips. Its also nice to know that 'Hot Lips' are formulated without parabens & are not tested on animals. I own the shade - L405 Bright Coral – A almost neon bright coral shade, that on my lips leans more to a red coral shade. Because the pigmentation is so intense you only need to apply a tiny amount. The sponge applicator helps to get a defined outline on the lip, although with bright lip colours I always sharpen up the outline with a concealer. Once the product has sunk into the lip it leaves a Demi matte finish & lasts on me for 4 to 5 hours WITH eating & drinking. Which I think is fab. I love to wear this lipie with black winged liner & a bronzed dewy face so the lipstick can really stand out. I have to say a massive thank you to Natalie from 'Discovery Of Self' from whom I won this product in her blog giveaway. I think you might be able to tell I love this lipie :)
