For those of you living under a rock or not that into Korean beauty trends, today I'm going to finally review a very interesting mask which I've bought from Althea SG during my first Althea haul: The Bubble popping piggy clay mask! or more formally known as the Elizavecca Milky Piggy Carbonated Clay Mask.
The unique factor which made me and prolly many others to purchase the mask would be it's bubbling characteristics. So legend says So the creator says, the Elizavecca Milky Piggy Carbonated Clay Mask will carbonate and bubble up on your skin making you look double your face size or like a monster.
As mentioned, many other youtubers have tested it in front of the camera something like react to the Elizavecca Milky Piggy Carbonated Clay mask. Thus, I've made a video! Video link at the bottom of the post if you want to see me transform into a monster and back again.
Meanwhile, let's continue with the more detailed version.
So the main ingredients of this bubbly creature would be green tea extract - which explains its scent and charcoal powder - which explains it's greyish colour.
What this pot of grey does is it plays a part as an exfoliator. It's carbonated bubbling function stimulates your pores and clear out the dirt trapped in them. It also controls the oil production from your skin. Considering it's factors, this mask is more suitable for those with oily to combination skin. For those with dry skin, it's advisable for you not to try it for it may be too drying for you.
Unlike normal clay masks, this product is rather jelly like and globby is globby even a word. It's more chunky and flowy so application is more like picking up a chunk with the spatula putting it on your face and then spreading it with your fingers. Despite mentioning that it's chunky, smoothing it out evenly is rather effortless. That is as long as you stick to apply one layer once only and not add another layer when it starts to bubble.
The product starts out grey. As it bubbles, the bubbles covers the surface of the mask and the bubbles will look light grey. Thereafter, the bubbles will turn from small tiny light grey bubbles to big obvious holo bubbles. When you see that happening, 5 minutes prolly have past and it's time to squash the bubbles.
By right, instructions indicates that we're supposed to squash the bubbles with a little bit of water to generate the cleanser foaming action but clearly, I think otherwise. Anyways this is the full instructions on how to utilize the mask:
Instructions for usage:
1) Cleanse face
2) Apply mask evenly
3) Wait 5 minutes for all the bubbling to stop
4) Add some water (or not), squash the bubbles and massage the mask in for 2 ore minutes
5) Wash off and you're done!

If not, carry on reading the last part:
The Good- Sweet scent with green tea infused
- Cleans pores and blackheads
- Reduce and controls sebum (oiliness) on the face
- Have a clear and smooth face after used
- Fun and unique - How often you see your mask bubble up?
- Very difficult to wash off - It's like the mask is stuck
- Itchy due to the bubbles
- Is required to put moisturizer afterwards or else it'll be quite drying - more suitable more oily to combination skin
- Putting a thick layer or a thin layer does not affect the amount of bubbles. However, it does affects the mask stubbornness to come off your face.
- Try not to put too much under your nose or else you'll be breathing in bubbles
- Don't try to put another layer after you see small bubbles forming or else application will be uneven
The Verdict
Overall, I would give it 4 IreviewUread smiles for I actually love this fun bubbly product which i initially bought for fun. It makes masking a joy and does the job as well. The one thing which I loathe about this product is how difficult it is to wash off.
