Here's a quickie review on some really great HD loose powder by e.l.f (stands for Eyes, Lips, Face.) As if being awesome isn't enough, it was just $6 at Target. It's quite a big jar of powder for not a lot of money so cheers to e.l.f! Lol!
I had been wanting to try it for a while because I have been building my HD kit slowly but surely as more work I've been doing has been shot/filmed in HD (High Definition) I'm pretty happy with my Make Up For Ever HD powder so this was a tough decision. I read some convincing reviews about the e.l.f. powder so I figured it wouldn't hurt to try it, especially at $6. It's so finely milled, it disappears instantly. It's even lighter in texture than the Make Up For Ever , if that's even possible. It photographs beautifully too. I will use regular makeup and just dust a layer of this over everything and it sets so nicely. HD is tricky because it shows everything up close! This powder vanishes as soon as it's on and kills any shine along with working to hide fine lines. I'm impressed! You can use this for every day and/or for work purposes.
I have a few other products from this brand that I'll be reviewing soon. I'm really growing to love e.l.f. and not just because of their rock bottom prices (items are $1, $3 and $6 for individual items) Although I haven't been crazy about everything I've tried from them (we'll get to that later), I still feel they've proven themselves in general and are well to compete in this cosmetic industry, regardless of the prices.
This comes in 2 other shades...Shimmer (which has some pigment & light shimmer) & Color Corrective Yellow (which is light yellow)
What you see here is called Sheer.
I used this on a client today who complimented it's finish. I had used the Make Up For Ever on her just 2 weeks ago and this was the only time she said anything so it's definitely worth it's weight in gold! Lol!
