As much as I love traveling around the world, there are still some places I want to visit in the US. After all, there are some wonderful cities which don’t get enough exposure. After all, travelers head to the major cities such as New York, Philadelphia, and Washington DC for an unforgettable trip. But they forget about other cities in the US which have a lot to offer. In fact, here are some underrated cities you need to add to your America travel bucket list.
Park City in Utah
If you love celeb spotting, then you should be heading to the beautiful city of Park City in Utah. A lot of people have not heard of the city, but it’s a hub for the rich and famous. They love all the amazing shops and the gorgeous scenery. And they all flock there for the Sundance Film Festival which occurs every year. 50,000 attend the film festival to enjoy the movies and some well-deserved partying. And if you love Upper East Side in New York, you will adore the boutique and fancy restaurants that are situated here. The town is also perfect to visit during the winter months with several ski resorts where you can stay. In fact, the city was home to the Winter Olympics back in 2002. Despite all this, a lot of people around the world haven’t heard of Park City. But you should definitely travel there in the not-so-distant future!
Frederick in Maryland
You might have heard of Baltimore in Maryland, but how about Frederick? The small city should be on your travel list as there is so much to see and do. For one thing, it’s a great place for history buffs. The area has several museums and battlefields which will make for an interesting trip. As well as this, the downtown is often named one of the prettiest places in America! It has plenty to do in the center as well with great pubs and restaurants. And if you love a glass of alcohol, you should head on a brewery or winery tour here. After all, they have some fantastic draft beers to try. For something more thrilling, you should go to a fun attraction such as The Legends of The Fog. It has one of the best haunted houses in Maryland, as well as other attractions which will scare you silly!
St. Petersburg in Florida
When you think of Florida, you are going to think of Orlando, Miami, or Tampa. But somewhere else that is great in the sunshine state is St.Petersburg. It boasts beautiful beaches which enjoy hot weather nearly all year-round! And as it’s less well-known, you are more likely to get a sunbed so that you can enjoy the hot rays on your trip. Perfect to escape the awful winter weather! And if you fancy something more cultural, you should head to the Salvador Dali Museum. As this feature reveals, it holds the largest collection of his work! And for fans of wildlife, you should head to the Sunken Gardens which is a botanical paradise!
