Don’t Go OTT With Your Jewelry: Tips You Need To Accessorize With Style!

By Heather Hahn @HeatherHahnn

A lot of people go wrong when it comes to adding jewelry to their outfit. They already look stunning and then they add too many accessories which send them down cringeville before they know it! Therefore, you need to make sure you are careful when you are choosing accessories to go with your outfit. Here are some tips you need to accessorize with style so that you don’t end up going over the top with your jewelry.

Be prepared to mix and match with bracelets

It doesn’t work with all jewelry. But with bracelets, you can get away with wearing lots of different styles. After all, it looks cool to head out with various bangles around your wrist. Celebs like Kendall Jenner are always papped with a ton of bracelets. Although you can wear a variety, it’s important to make sure the colors don’t clash. But you can mix and match styles and size to ensure your outfit looks superb.

Make sure you accessorize depending on the occasion

A lot of people don’t think about the occasion properly before they pimp out their outfit with beautiful accessories. But it’s so important that you think about where you are going and what you will be doing before you choose jewelry. For example, if you are heading to a formal party, you will want classic jewelry such as a silver necklace and matching bracelet to fit the occasion. However, if it’s going to be a beach party, you can go a bit more glam with jewelry; toe rings are welcome in this case! And the same goes for colors. You should stick with gold and silver for special occasions, while bright colors can come out for your everyday wardrobe!

Don’t wear too many rings

I love rings. They are probably my favorite fashion accessory. However, although you can wear lots of bracelets (see above), it can become a faux pas if you wear multiple rings on your fingers. Therefore, stick to one or two rings, on one hand, to accessorize with style! And if you do want to experiment, stick to the same color so that you don’t make a fashion error. Also, if you have a diamond engagement ring on your finger, avoid putting other rings on that hand. Otherwise, it will take all the attention away from your beautiful sparkler which is never good if you have just got engaged!

Don’t choose the same color as your clothes

When it comes to jewelry, a lot of people are afraid to experiment with colors. But you could be missing out on making your whole outfit look fabulous! As this article says, too much black will make your outfit look gloomy, while all white will make you look like you are a bride! Therefore, don’t be afraid to mix it up. For example, if you have a black dress, you should go for a necklace in gold or silver. And if you are wearing a red ensemble, a black or gold accessory will look stunning.

And remember to mix it up so that you keep it interesting. After all, if you wear the same necklace every week, it will get old quickly. Therefore, create a schedule so that you can make sure you accessorize with style!
