Do You Wear New Pyjamas On Christmas Eve?

By Tamarstylist @tamarstylist

When the snow is piling up outside, nothing beats staying in—preferably while lounging in your pyjamas and cradling a cup of hot chocolate. If you are lucky enough to find some solitude on a Winters day, time can suddenly stand still. 'Bad' weather means that responsibilities have to wait and you find yourself with time for pure indulgence on your hands. Nothing can beat the luxury of wrapping yourself in the warmth of your favourite flannel pyjamas and doing what you love the most.

On the other hand, a day snowed-in with the family is every bit as magical as a quiet day alone. Board games, snuggling up on the sofa to watch old movies, and eating popcorn are the only things on the family agenda. Family days at home, all cosied up in pyjamas make memories that children, and you, will reminisce on for years to come.

It is no surprise then that every year, top on most women's Christmas shopping list is the same - pyjamas. It appears to be an age old holiday tradition, fuelled by childhood memories of sitting by the open fire in our nightwear. Who wouldn't want to recreate that magic every year?

Many families make time for the pyjama tradition on Christmas Eve. Wrapping up traditional flannel pyjamas in festive papers and gifting each family member with something they can truly enjoy on the night before Christmas. With everybody dressed in cosy pj's, time stands still and a family can indulge in quality time together. The following morning everyone is photo ready, looking cute and festive in their new nightwear - perfect for the obligatory family photo.

If this is not the case for your family, you will most likely expect to receive at least one pair of pyjamas on Christmas day itself. So pivotal is the role of pyjamas at this seasonal celebration, that they find themselves up on the Christmas Classics list with other timeless favourites: I introduce you your old friends, the knitted motif jumper, the woolly socks, the festive scarf and the fur lined slippers.

Now we cannot boast to offer all of these gifting delights, however we are very proud to offer a beautiful range of flannel and classic pyjamas, we also offer luxurious fur lined slippers to make Christmas just that extra little bit comfier.
