This is just a baby step towards realizing the same... Had this in mind since long & made one for myself recently - A DIY Rings Organizer.
I am putting in 2 different types of making a DIY Ring Organizer here in this post.
Things you will need -
1. Any cardboard box (sweets box, wallet box, etc.)
2. Styrofoam sheets (packing material) or Sponge
3. Gift wrap paper
4. Knife & scissors
5. Scotch tape
TYPE 1 - WITH STYROFOAM SHEETS
Step 1 -
Cover the cardboard box neatly with gift wrap paper.
Step 2 -
Take the styrofoam sheets and cut them to desired size, so that they fit inside the box perfectly. These styrofoam sheets are the one your jewellery comes packed in, when your purchase them online.
You can stick two styrofoam sheets one & top of another to get some thickness.. which helps in holding the finger rings firmly.
Step 3 -
Once the styrofoam sheets fit snugly into the box, take them out and make slits using a knife. Leave desired space between each slit & between rows, according to the size of rings you have in your vanity.
Atleast an inch space is desirable. These slits are your finger ring holders.
Step 4 -
Arrange your rings in your all new "Ring Organizer" and you are ready to show off your DIY to the world! :)
TYPE 2 - SPONGE SHEET
If you do not get styrofoam sheets, you can do similar one with some sponge as well.
Step 1 -
Take a sponge sheet of desired length and breadth to fit your box perfectly. The below picture shows a sponge sheet of desirable thickness.
Step 2 -
Make slits in the sponge leaving an inch space between each.
Step 3 -
Stick paper with slits marked on it to one side of the sponge to make it look better. The end result should look something like this.
Step 4 -
Place the sponge inside a box & start storing your rings! :)
