Instead of eating cashew,almond,walnuts,dry dates alone, its really good idea to have mixture in one ladoo and having big healthy dose each morning with your breakfast.This is very traditional recipe made at each home with little variations.I am giving my Mom and Aunty's recipe here.
Ingredients
1 cup dry dates (finely chopped / powder)
1 cup grated dry coconut
1 cup Cashew (finely chopped / powder)
1 cup Almonds (finely chopped / powder)
1 cup grated jaggery / sugar
2 Tsp edible gum
1 cup ghee/butter

Method
1.Roast dry coconut in pan till it turns slightly brownish.Then take it in clean dish.
2.Heat ghee and add edible gum into that.Fry gum till it becomes like small white balloons.(First check if ghee is hot, then add gum.)
3.Take all balloon gums in other plate , leaving ghee in pan.
4.Add Cashew,Almond powder into ghee and roast them in ghee till it becomes slight brown.Turn gas off.
5.Crush the edible gums by hand only.Don't crush them in mixer, as then it will become watery.
6.Add gum ,dry coconut and dry dates powder into mixture.Mix them well.
7.Add sugar and mix it well.Make the laddoos when the mixture is hot.
8.If you want to use jaggery, take 1/2 cup water and boil it .Add jaggery to it and mix it.
It will start melting jaggery and become syrup.Check if the syrup is done, take some water on plate and put a drop of syrup into it.If that drop become tough like crystal, them syrup is done.Turn off the gas.
Add all ingredients in this mixture and make ladoos.
Jaggery is good for health, so prefer to make ladoos with jaggery.
My aunty (mavashi) use urad dal while making this ladoo, as urad dal gives heat to body, it is very good in winter.If you want to use urad dal,Use above procedure same and add additonal steps like this
1.Dry roast urad dal in pan till it becomes slightly brown.
2.Take it on plate and cool it off.
3.Make powder in grinder.
4.Before adding dry fruits powder in ghee(step 4 in above method), add urad dal powder and roast it in ghee.Then follow steps from 4-8.
