Yes, I know I did a Top 5 perfume post not long ago, but I received a beautiful set for Christmas that contains a contender for favourite perfume of 2013 already!
Diesel Loverdose Eau de Toilette has been a fragrance I have been coveting for many months now and I was so happy when Mr got me the set for Christmas (which contains a body lotion and shower gel in the same scent). I never liked the original Eau de Parfum of this scent as I found it too musky and a bit sour? Basically I didn’t like it. But when I smelt the lighter version that was released this year I fell in love and although it is light, it still has that deep, sultry scent that I love. It seduced me with it’s quite creamy notes of apple, orange blossom and crystal musks (I don’t know either!) and smells beautifully fresh whilst also being softly sensual.
It smells quite grown up and is quite a potent scent considering it is meant to be softer and less powerful. Since wearing it on Christmas Day, I have had numerous compliments from friends and work colleagues (and you know something is right when people comment on your perfume!). I love it, wear it everyday and have spritzed it onto my scarf so much, that it now smells of it which makes me smile every time I put it on! The shower gel and body lotion are also great, very lightly scented, so they are great when layered up together for a night out. And the shower gel is Pink! Swoon!
