Some time in April, I went to Decleor Institute’s Mask Ball for short facial; With credits to VanityTrove.
Basically, Decleor’s Mask Balls purpose is to give the users a simple cleansing and mask session.
Upon arrival, I was immediately greeted by well-organised sitting area.
Besides that, products sitting on the lighted tables and shelves were equally as eye catching as well.
As I was analysing their products, my esthetician, Priscilla, approached me with some tea.
The tea was calming and tasted like Chrysanthemum. It’s not chrysanthemum, I forgot what it is.
While sipping my afternoon tea, I was to fill out particulars, skin type and skincare routine.
Thereafter, it’s time for my skin analysis! Using this machine, Priscilla scanned and took in-depth photos of my pores and my lines; Leaving no surface area of my face unexamined, untouched. There goes my dirty little secrets… Curse you lazy me!
What differentiate this machine from the other regular skin analysis machine was, for this machine, your PH levels, sebum, elasticity and pore diameters could also be detected.
After Priscilla’s comprehensive explanation and advice on my skin, a report for my skin analysis was printed out. At the bottom of it, there’s also recommended treatments for my skincare problems.
Thereafter, it’s time to walk down the passageway to relaxation.
Neroli, the word for today. The name of my relaxation paradise for the hour. So why is it called neroli ? Well, these rooms names are assigned according to the flowers in the handles and thus Neroli!
Here’s a little familiar selfie before I start my relaxation journey.
Before she started the facial, she introduced me to a body massage package in which if I like to try, I’ll have to top up (I’ve forgotten the amount) and changed into their robe. However, since it was my first time, I’ve decided to stick to changing into these slippers and go for the basic facial.
Don’t you just feel like sleeping upon seeing the bed?
And so the facial starts. First step is to Remove my Makeup, or at least what’s left of it due to Singapore’s humid weather. Next is Cleansing - Round 1. Then round two of cleansing using papaya extract aka Double Cleanse. Throughout the cleansing steps, Priscilla also gave my face a very relaxing massage, allowing all the tension then to float away.
After removing all the impurities from my face, it’s time to tone it. Since, I have a combination skin of Oily and Dry, Priscilla have diagnosed a clay mask for my Oily T-Zone and cooling hydration mask for the drier U zone.
Subsequent to the mask application, it’s time to let it rest. 10 relaxing minutes later, Priscilla came back and wash off the mask. Oh the coolingness. Then it’s time for moisturizing and eye cream application time.
With that, that’s a wrap! It’s great to be able to loosen up in such a tranquilizing environment once in a blue moon.
As, I got ready to leave, Priscilla introduced to me this Arome Tonic which she uses as her perfume. It’s technically a lighter version of a perfume. So, for people who are allergic to strong perfumes (like myself), this would be an alternative.
After the sedated facial, I was served another cup of tea as Priscilla recommend to me the products which I should use due to my skin condition.
Thereafter, she presented me with some samples for me to try.
Overall, I am very please with the Mask Ball service, my esthetician was very patient and amiable. She knows how to connect with her clients in an intimate level which helps in ruling out the awkwardness stage.
For their moisturizers and products which was used, I am very gratify with the cooling effects and aromatic fragrance which it cultivated.
