The Crawley A.I.M Charity 6/12/24 Hour Races finished at 12 noon today. In the 6 hour, Michael Stocks winning distance is only surpassed so far this year by Craig Holgate at Stan Jewell's Liverpool 6 hour last month. Karen Wallace's 62.747 km is the best British women's performance of the year so far.
Welsh international Nathan Flear produced the 6th best performance in the world so far this year to win the 12 hour pushed closed though by a great women's win by Melissa Venables - third best in the world this year for second place overall.
The 24 hour race saw Brian Robb lead for the first 14 hours or so before Peter Windross assumed the lead. Pursued by Cat Simpson who was never far away and who finished in second place overall with a new course record peter fonally covered 226.8 km.
