Cool Things I Found On The Internet [September 15]

So much YAY and HOORAY this week as we welcomed Lady Spring to our part of the world here in Australia! I'm slowing waking up from my winter hibernation and have been rocking my yoga gear more often ( rather than just wearing them for running errands around town - #guilty). How do you welcome spring to your home and your daily life, my lovelies? My Pinsterest newsfeed has definitely caught the spring fever too - from pastel shade bikes and surfing cat to fashion illustration with summer fruits, here I'm spreading the upbeat spring vibe with my latest cool finds on the Internet!

♥ Pastel Shade Cruiser Bikes

Oh Em Gee! Mint green or pale yellow - this is a seriously hard decision to make! I swung by my local 99 Bikes shop the other day and these pastel coloured cruiser bikes were waving at me I swear. These retro-looking beach cruisers are packed with so much vintage swag and indie vibes! As its name suggests, cruiser bike is perfect for cruising around town on fairly flat terrain with little to no wind. And yes - the cute basket on the handlebar is totally made for carrying your baby pug for that like-worthy Instagram photo. Pairing with high-waisted wide leg pants and vintage head scarf define what it truly means to ride in style. And did I mention it's perfect for channeling that T-swift's vibe?

♥ Edible Fashion Illustrations @Groehrs

I grew up in a culture where as a kid playing and messing with food is absolutely not tolerated especially with my grandma. Hence, I'd blame it for constraining my creativity as a food artist. Otherwise, I'm pretty sure I'd have come up with whimsical food and fashion fusion illustrations like these by Gretchen Röehrs. This playful artist gives everything on her kitchen bench, mainly fruits and vegetables, some jazzy makeovers. Through her witty creations, Gretchen's also proved that the humble fruit peels deserve a more glamorous space than your compost bins. Seriously, who'd have thought that peaches, peppers and figs can look this irresistibly sexy? Here comes another brilliant idea for my mumma friends who struggle to get their little ones to eat their greens. Veggies a la mode, anyone?

♥ Surfing Cat

The old saying goes ' pig might fly'. In the feline world, it could well be translated to ' cats might swim'. But hey, though cats aren't fond of water it doesn't mean they don't have a solution to overcome their deadliest fear. In the land of Down Under, an ingenious kitten named Mogli has earned so much respect with his fearless catitude learning how to surf like a boss. Apart from his ah-mew-zing move, we think his pawsitivity is dangerously infectious and his Instagram followers are very likely to jump on board with this hipster trend. Next time when you visit Down Under, don't be surprised to see a feline-only surf beach.

♥ Bonsai Terrarium

If you live in the other side of the world, it might be another six months till spring swings by again. Yet do not despair, my fellow green soul. Adding a dash of green and liveliness to your interior is as easy as peas I promise! Just get your DIY gloves on to create a terrarium with succulents that are low maintenance and will continue to thrive during cooler months ( I've shared my 6 terrarium care tips here). I swear I don't have a green thumb so if I can do it, so can you! I've pinned this cute bonsai terrarium as my next project inspiration. I'm loving the combination of wood and green which make it look like a scene straight from an Edo period Japanese painting.

♥ Vintage Chanel Jeweleries

Because a girl can dream, and I dream a lot about vintage Chanel. I wish I could go explore these stores in Paris that stock vintage Chanel gems every week. In the meantime, I'm happily enjoying my regular window shopping experience on Pinterest without any damage done to my credit card ( I've dedicated a whole Pinterest board to my vintage Chanel pins here). My most drool-worthy finds this month include this original diamond comet necklace designed by Chanel in 1930s and the gold scissor diamond trimmed pendant. What got me obsessed is that the craftsmanship and fine details of these vintage jeweleries are hard to be found today among the fast fashion culture.

So tell me Dear Reader, does any of my cool finds tickle your fancy? What did you pin to your wishlist? What are some of the cool things you found on the Internet this month? Share them in the comments below and inspire me for our next month's story! In the meanwhile, be sure to follow on Pinterest for all our quirkiest and coolest pinspirations.

Till next time. Stay classy.
