Red lipstick always makes me drool. And these colorbar velvet matte ones are so budget friendly that you dont happen to think twice before getting another one.

Hot Hot Hot is a medium tone red lipstick its not blood red. If you see the comparison swatches between Hot Hot Hot and Hearts and Tarts you will see there is hardly any difference. Upon closer look Hot Hot Hot is a tad bit lighter than Hearts and Tarts. That was the reason I ha first picked Hearts and Tarts as I was looking for a darker red lipstick. But Hot Hot Hot is a beautiful bright red lipstick that instantly brightens your face.
Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick
The texture of the lipstick is creamy but its not too buttery, being matte it lacks some moisture, but non-the-less it glides on the lips smoothly. Although if you have dry chapped lips I would recommend you exfoliate them and apply lip balm underneath. I f you like the matte finish make sure to moisturize your lips before hand and remove the lip balm just before applying the lipstick.

Colorbar Velvet matte lipstick Hot Hot Hot scores full marks for pigmentation. One swipe is enough for full opaque lips. But you can certainly build up the intensity to your liking. I generally apply two coats.

The lipstick when applied gives a cream finish not glossy but creamy finish, which subsides after an hour or so and the lipstick is full matte after that. The staying power is great too.Its stays a good 5 hours without any fading. This lipstick stays put through meals as well, with just slight fading.
