COLORBAR True Gloss Pink Stain Review, Swatches and FOTD
Hey beautiful! Ah these words!! These were the exactly the words that echoed in my head as the sales girl swatched Colorbar True Gloss Pink Stain on my hands. Dramatic arent I? Well I know I am. Ok so moving on to the review. Colorbar Pink Stain lip gloss is not a new launch. Its just that I had into been using a lot of lip gloss these days, but I wanted to try out a new one so went out and swatched a ton of them. I wanted to try the Rimmel ones but they were out of stock as always, so I ended up taking this as I totally loved the color.
PRICE: INR 550/-
Packaging: Colorbar True Gloss Pink Stain comes in a round circular cylindrical tube which is transparent, so you can easily see the color along with a silver cap. The packaging is nice and sleek.
TEXTURE: Colorbar Pink Stain is a thick consistency lip gloss, it feels more like a liquid lipstick than a lip gloss as its quiet thick. Its glides on the lips easily and doesnt feel too heavy on the lips. Pink Stain is not too stickyand it doesnt stick between lips, I hate when lip glosses do that. One reason why I avoid them. But not this one, its not overly sticky on the lips, but its not the lightest feeling lip gloss either it takes a while to forget you have not something on..still I would say it feels lighter than most other lip glosses.
PIGMENTATION: Pink Stain is a beautifully pigmented, its such a pretty color and you need so little of it. Be careful while applying it. You really need very little product to go over the lips, and its a bit heavy so if you do apply more product it will feel heavy and uncomfortable. Just wipe off the excess product into the tube before applying it on the lips and you should be good.
COLOR: Colorbar True Gloss Pink Stain is a Pink lip gloss with red undertone. Its a borderline neon pink. Its just the right amount of bright touching the neon borders. So if you have been wanting to jump the neon bandwagon Pink Stain is a good place to start. Pink Stain will best suit fair to medium skin tones on darker hues it might appear more neonish. But nontheless it will look good on everyone. In the swatch photos it is leaning more towards red than pink..but the true color is actually red based pink.
STAYING POWER: Pink Stain has decent staying power. It will survive light meals. On an average it stays put for about 4 hours.
If you dont apply the lip gloss properly that is apply too much of it, it will bleed around the edges, so it make sense to either apply it over a lipstick or lip liner or apply it in control quantity.
Overall I am pretty impressed with the staying power, pigmentation and texture of Colorbar True Gloss Pink Stain. The only thing I dont like is the smell. I am not a fan of the chemical like smell of the lip gloss, but it does go away fairly quickly. I am looking forward to trying more shades from this lip gloss range by Colorbar. Until next time..
