Whether it is getting holiday dressing right or adding bling to a work outfit, a sequin tank is a must have for any wardrobe. The sequin tank top is actually a part of my emergency stash of clothing. Whenever I have had to get dressed on a short notice for a special occasion, I usually just pick up this tank top for styling.
When buying a sequin top, pay attention to the type of sequins (I prefer matte sequins), the cut of the top and the fit (loose fit works well for holiday dressing and this one was a savior when I was pregnant and with my post-pregnancy weight). To be honest, this particular top has survived various stages of life for me. If that doesn't convince you add one of these for your closet, what will?
In today's post, I have 4 ways in which you can style a sequin tank top.
I - Paired with Old Navy Maternity jeans, a chambray shirt to layer over the tank and accessorized with a statement necklace and red patent pumps.
II - Worn with a Cropped Jacket and Layered over a Geometric Print Dress. Accessorized with a studded clutch, ballet flats and a crystal necklace
III - Styled with a layered Floral Tulle Skirt, Ankle strap pumps and a mini bag.
IV - This outfit is more of an Indo-Western fusion outfit and sequin tank tops are a perfect way to go that route. Here I am wearing the top with a Lehenga (Indian version of a maxi skirt) and a stole. This was post pregnancy and I wanted some comfort factor to the outfit which is why this tank top was a perfect addition.
You can see how versatile a piece a sequin tank can be. You can buy one in neutral sequins or colored sequins depending on where you plan on wearing it the most.
