The rescue balm comes in a huge, bright and sunny tube. The product is of light mint color and smells minty. It has a thick gel-cream consistency - rightly called a balm!
My skin is normal-dry and this product is a decent moisturizer for people of my skin type.
Weekends are when I am on various errands and thereby exposed more to the sun causing skin damage. Once back at home, I cleanse my face thoroughly and then follow up with this rescue balm on both my face and hands.
The aloe in the product and the minty feel both refresh and soothe my skin and offer required hydration without making my face oily or greasy. It didn't give me any breakouts too.
I see no visible effect of it in helping control tan or spots - but I like the cool minty feeling after being in the hot sun.
Its a bulky tube and not travel friendly and the only way one can use up the whole tube is to use it both on the face and body.
I remember using an after-sun gel from Lotus Herbals few years back, but I don't seem to find it these days. This rescue balm though good at its job is not easy on the pocket!
If you are someone who is out in the sun a lot and price is not a concern, you should definitely try this product!
I haven't still made up my mind if I want to repurchase this in the future - but for this summers I am stocked up! :)
