ClickR- No More Derma Drama, Daily Dermabrasion Wash

By Stephanie1 @NewBeautyReview
Ok so about 2 weeks ago I noticed this company called ClickR while browsing twitter. I had just started my blog but I'm always on the lookout for new brands to try anyway.
I know I've said this before but I really do appreciate when companies are responsive. By that I mean, they acknowledge you either by answering you on twitter, responding to your emails & their level of customer service, if you will.
Maybe it's the growing up in NYC that instilled in me some sort of shock when people are nice (haha) but I'm always pleasantly surprised when people take notice of me and do so kindly.
Having said all of that, I liked ClickR right away. I had a whole back and forth conversation with Lauren from ClickR (Hi Lauren!!) on twitter about the brand. Aside from Lauren being a doll, I was drawn to the look of the brand. One of my favorite color schemes is hot pink, black & white. I notice I tend to incorporate those colors in my style quite often & sometimes I'll change up the pink to make it softer but I just love that color combo!
Their colors are hot pink, black & white.
So began the love affair....
I explained I had a blog & asked if ClickR sent out samples.
Sadly, I didn't get a sample....Instead I got a FULL size bottle of their No More Derma Drama, daily dermabrasion wash!! Gotcha! ;-)
It came almost instantly and I couldn't wait to try it. When I opened the box, I liked how it came wrapped up ever so nicely, with some literature on the company & product, which is always helpful b/c I do read everything I can before I put anything new on my skin. It also came with a personal, handwritten note thanking me for offering to try, and write about, their product.
If they hadn't "had me at hello" then this is where they would've gotten me!
I love had written letters! I still send out my Christmas Cards, individually adding personal touches to each one.
Yes, typing is easier but to me, and this is just my opinion, it's a nice personal touch. I'm old fashioned like that so I notice & appreciate the little things :-)
That's not to say I hold anything against typed responses. Just saying!! Lol

While reading about the company, it was then that I saw all of their products are VEGAN.
The also contain NO:
*Artificial Colors
*Parabens
*Phthalates
*Sulfates or Petrochemicals
*Endocrine Disruptors
*Allergen Fragrances
And NO Animal Testing Whatsoever!
After reading all of that yummy goodness, I noticed this particular product was targeting a person that may have acne. Well, I do not.
I was discouraged for a second, I'm not going to lie.
This is the exact reason I read all of the information, because it also states it can be used by ALL skin types. At first I was confused b/c I know in the past when I've, for one reason or another, used a product that's for acneic skin types or oily skin, they dry me out instantly! They usually don't smell too good and have little to no slip, like I can feel the detergent & astringents in them! Eeek!
However, after using it, I don't believe I've ever been so taken back by such a diverse product. I've said how I like my products to focus so I was shocked to see how well it worked, considering I'm not technically it's target consumer.
The day I got this was an off day for my exfoliating. I exfoliate 1-2x a week so I still had another day before I could use this. I was so curious at this point and I'm sitting there looking at this pretty bottle, thinking of how I could try it without putting it on my face.  Hey, I get excited to try new products, don't judge me! ;-)
So I washed my hands with it, towel dried them & put a light layer of this sweet smelling wash on the back of my hands.
My point in doing that was to use it as an exfoliating treatment, Also to see if it dried out my hands, I'd know it wouldn't be right for my face. I figured if it is a combative acne product, it'll still at least clear away dead skin. I left it on for about 30 minutes.
It stayed moist, never drying up and my hands felt velvety smoothe after. Bingo!
The next day I used it in the shower and before I put my moisturizer on I realized my skin was velvety and not dried out at all. In fact, it felt taut but not dry, smoothe but not greasy. It was perfectly cleaned!
I'm thanking my lucky stars right now that I have a big bottle of this stuff because it's now on my product rotation. This worked so well, that I'll only need to use it bi-weekly!
It's like those clarifying shampoos we use every 2 weeks to really clean our hair out. You don't need it every day but you definitely need it every 2 weeks!
To be clear, those clarifying shampoos, although they will clean out all build up, they can feel "squeeky clean," like all the moisture's been sucked out too.
This felt more like a renwal of sorts.
The moral of this story is, read all literature before using new products, thoroughly. Or you'll miss out! :-)
So, big THANK YOU to Lauren & everyone over at  http://www.clckr.com/
for making something that's as environmentally/people safe as it is effective and, for lack of a better term, just awesome!
Keep it pretty!
*Stephanie*
