"We take photos as a return ticket to a moment otherwise gone."
I'm a nostalgic person. I love looking through old memories and thinking back to the 'good old days'. One of those sentimental memories which refer to would be old photos. They not only capture our youth but they capture our heart. Where did we went? Who were we with? And most importantly, who were we then? It's no doubt that photos evoke strong feelings from us be it positive or negative. After all, as they say, a picture speaks a thousand words. However, if we were to ignore these moments and not capture them as they happen, the moments of the present would soon be memories of the past. Thus, it is important that we take more picture daily or at least hire someone to take a better photo of the moment. There's where photography services company come in.
In this post and this video, I'm going to review a photography company in Singapore, Click Clique Studios.

Before the shoot
Here's a little background of me and photoshoots. As mentioned in the video, I don't go to photoshoot in fact the most official photoshoot I have was me using a timer, taking a selfie in my room. Thus, when I got this amazing opportunity to have a couple photoshoot, I was over the moon.
With that we started with our plan. Before the shoot happen, we discussed the location, the date and the time. Eventually we decided on have the shoot at Botanic Gardens on a weekend evening. In addition to that, even our outfits were discussed way beforehand. Everything were so organised!
The Actual Shoot
Finally, the actual day came. We were both nervous and ecstatic. We met the photographer, Jia Qi, at the front of foliage garden and set off from there. Most of the shoots were "walk and take" kind of shoots. Thus, our backgrounds were always changing. Given that it's a weekend and there was an event then, Botanic Gardens was filled with people. That got me concerned on the process of the photoshoot in such circumstances. However, Jia Qi assured me that everything will be handled in post-production such that, I wouldn't see the nosy passer-by in my photos. That got my mind off those strangers and be more focused on the shoot.
"The idea behind the photo is to make it look like he is going to fly off with the umbrella and you're trying to pull him back." - Jia QiDuring the shoot, Jia Qi will shout out words of encouragement and say things that made us felt more comfortable on set. He would suggest a variety of poses for us and even lend us props which he brought - like this umbrella here - to enhance the story in the photo.
Alike many novice photoshoot subjects, we were very rigid and awkward at first. However, as time go by, we became less stiff and more natural with the encouragement and the familiarity of the camera's presences. As seen in this shot, Jia Qi ran quite far ahead in front of us to take the shot while we were chatting. That is how the shots look so natural. Yes, poor boyfriend having to carry all the things.
The Orchidless GardenThis shot is totally giving me all the feels for it can be a potential cover of a Korean drama. What I like about how the photographer work was that he was willing to be in any environment or even position just to get a good shot of us. Most of the time, I see him crouching down behind the bushes, behind the rocks or in uncomfortable positions just get the perfect shot of us. #Dedication
Another shot of the poor boyfriend carrying all the things I brought. This is us in our element - that's why I have no muscles. What I like about these photographs is the fact that although the photos were focused on us, I could spot the other natural elements which was 'blocking' the lens. That makes the photos look like it's captured without the presence of the camera. To capture the photo without the participants knowing, that's the magic of natural light photography.
This is one of my favourites. The pose Jia Qi suggested to us was just perfect. The boyfriend gently pushing back the hair while the girlfriend lovingly look at him. Or excitedly. Plus, the effect of the orchid roots in front was so cool. The whole photo look so romantic.
The photographer was in the bush for this one.At this point of time, I'm sure my 90 minutes' couple photoshoot was up. However, Jia Qi just kept on going until the sky is dark. His persistence of capturing the perfect photographs for us is admirable 💪 . Thus, all of us kept pushing on.
Finally, the last photo of the day. This was the last pose we did for the day and one of the most beautiful ones. We love it.
I'm sure by now you would have realised that the photos in this post were all the best photos which they've taken of us during the photoshoot. Instead of the 5 high quality JPEG photos, they've decided to give us all the best photos which they've taken - that's so generous of them!
Plus, he even helped position and record the clips in my youtube video! So nice!
