Clarisonic Mia - Week One

By Lotionsandpotions @LotionNPotion
One of the goodies Santa brought me this year (thanks for passing my list on, mum!) was the Clarisonic Mia.
This little gadget has had everyone talking recently and, while I may be a little late to the party on this one, I wanted to see what all the fuss was about.
The Clarisonic is a facial (and body in some cases) cleaning system which claims to give a deeper clean. The website (www.clarisonic.co.uk) says:
  • Clarisonic's smallest Sonic Skin Cleansing System, the one-button, one-speed Mia comes in a variety of colours and fits your active lifestyle - offering beautiful skin at home or on-the-go.
  • The Clarisonic Mia Sonic Skin Cleansing System uses a patented sonic frequency of more than 300 movements per second to clean, soften and smooth skin. In just 60 seconds, the action removes more makeup and more dirt and sebum than cleansing with your hands alone. Removing more dirt and sebum from your pores also helps prepare for a better skin care regime.
  • Benefits & features highlights:
  • - Removes more makeup than manual cleansing
  • - Helps to prepare the skin for your usual skin care regime
  • - Leaves skin feeling smoother and healthier
  • - Tightens the appearance of visible pores
  • - Helps remove sebum
  • - Helps to improve the appearance of skin tone and texture
  • - Gentle cleansing process which can be used up to twice a day for 1 min each time
  • - Rechargeable
  • - Waterproof
Now, that's a pretty impressive list of accomplishments wouldn't you agree?Clarisonic Mia - Week One
I've been using my lovely Lavender gadget for a week now along with my Neutrogena Visibly Clear 2 in 1 and my skin has had the inevitable 'You're doing something new and I'm not used to it!' freak out.
I'm doing something here that's made me a little nervous; I'm going to show the progress (if any) of my skin over the course of a month using the Clarisonic. This means photos of me with absolutely no make up on. Please be kind!
So here is week one:
