Hello Everyone, I came up with this new twist on a favorite. This is a Chourico roll. Chourico is a Portuguese sausage. Now, not everyone can get Chourico, so you can just use regular sausage. Its really good :-)
Chourico(sausage) Roll
1 package of Pastry Puff Sheets(Thawed)1 package of sausage cooked(Chourico comes cooked just need to heat it up)1 Pepper diced1 Onion DicedMild and Sharp Cheddar1 Stick of Melted ButterCourse Sea Salt
Take a cookie sheet and line it with parchment paper. Lay one pastry sheet on the cookie sheet. In the middle place your sausage. Then go and add your diced onion on top. Then top with cheese. Now to get the braided effect, take a knife and cut slices on both sides of the pastry sheet. Now take one strip and lay it on top. Then cross another strip on top of it. It will create a braided effect. Brush melted butter on top. Then sprinkle course sea salt on top. The Puff Pastry Sheets comes with 2. So do the same with the second one. Bake at 375 till Golden brown. Usually takes about half hour or so. Eat and ENJOY!
