Cherub

By Colloquial Wordsmiths

He met someone like him
After so long.
Those eyes were amateur
Free from every caginess.

a

a

The girl who looked so elegant
shined like a moon bright.
She’s just so simple
careless is she or shows it to the world.

a

a

The girl who was burdened
with thoughts and always cursed.
Defying all the pain and rejections
with just a sweet smile and tear is her eyes.

a

a

Tears that no one could see
the salt and water that just dried.
Because there was nothing
she can be thrashed for.

a

a

The strings of happiness
that she just withdrew.
Scared from love as it
was just the matter of regrets and pain.

a

a

But the love is just that could
bring her back.
To pull out and play her strings
as she’s so harsh and divine.

a

a

She just needed someone
Who could love her more than she could do herself ?
Giving her the dignity and respect back
because she’s just the glory cherub.

a

a

The cherub who was meant to fly
sky was her limit.
And the world was her’s
as she was his cherub.
