There have been times when people have come up to me and said that they found my fashion blog and really liked it and that they thought it is a good thing I am doing something that I am passionate about. I love to talk about my blog to these people and this blog becomes a great conversation starter.
However, there have been times when people come up to me and say - "Hey, So & So told me you had a fashion blog and that they thought it was great." Still a compliment, right? It gets awkward when I am face to face with that So & So and they never actually get around to even mentioning my blog.
Why is it awkward? - Well, because then I am not sure if 1. They are just not very good at giving compliments 2. My blog was actually a gossip starter between Person A and Person B (So, maybe they were actually talking about everything that is wrong with it!).
In the words of Terri Guillemets - "Chase down your passion like it's the last bus of the night!". I am trying to chase down that bus! I can't really explain all the aesthetics behind it but this is just one of those things that I feel passionate about besides many others. If you were to ask me right now, Why I blog? The answer would be simple - It makes me happy. What else keeps me happy? Summery Maxi Dresses!
In today's outfit I am wearing one such dress - it is a lace maxi dress from H&M which I have paired with a denim jacket, gold strap sandals and an animal print clutch. I have accessorized with a beaded fringe necklace and a chain bracelet. The all black silhouette of this lace maxi dress was too enticing for me to let go.
