CW Intense Rescue Melting Balm - £11.33
I'd seen this little product doing the rounds recently across the beauty blogging community, so thought I'd give it a go myself after seeing some of the rave reviews.
It works exactly as you would expect it to from the name, in that in melts with the heat of your hand into a thick, oily consistency designed to condition and repair dry and damaged hair - restoring essential nutrients and leaving it soft and shiny.
To begin with I was a little put off by the price tag of £16.99. When it comes to my hair, I must confess I'm a little lazy as far as it's upkeep is concerned. I own a lot of styling products, though often neglect to 'treat' my hair to anything special in order to try and keep it in tip top condition. However, when I noticed the save a 1/3 on all CW products offer on in Boots at the moment (bringing the price down to around £11), I gave in to my urges and picked one up.
I had been expecting good things, but what I found after using this even just the once was amazing. First off, something I really adored about it was the scent - to me it literally smelt as though I had just stepped out of the salon and that's always a big positive in my book. Secondly, the things it did to my hair! Containing '7 exotic oils' including shea butter, avocado and coconut - perhaps unsurprisingly it was left feeling so soft, so silky smooth - the dry ends that I suffer quite badly with (owing partly to my unwillingness to ever get them trimmed) were dry no more. I don't think my hair had ever felt so great and more to the point - healthy!
Though I can't testify to these exact statistics, the formula claims to be able to 'decrease hair breakage by 71%' and to 'repair split ends by 56%' - and I can definitely see and feel a noticeable difference now after using it over a couple of weeks. Something else I like, is that you can also leave it on overnight if you want an even more intense treatment - I haven't tried this yet but will probably be giving it a go so I'll keep you updated on whether or not it makes a big difference.
This is without a doubt now going to become a staple within my haircare routine, and for those of you who haven't yet tried it, I would seriously recommend giving it a go - especially as you'll be able to snap it up slightly cheaper than normal over at Boots right now! :)
If you have tried it already, what were your thoughts? Did you love it as much as I did?
