I’m rarely stopped in my tracks by anything deemed to raise awareness of soldiers or war torn corners of the world. Not because I don’t see the merit in such causes but because of the lack of creativity involved in most campaigns, which generally choose to rely on cheap shock tactics or sympathetically structured photography to hit it’s market. Tactics that are too often overused in the media as it is without dampening serious subjects such as war and the life of a soldier – both subjects of which I feel, hardly need any effort to convince the public of their importance.
